TFTP boot file for LS-QVL/R5
« on: September 02, 2012, 01:35:01 AM »

LinkStation Quad LS-QVL/R5

E06 = Power LED blink red 6 times

If removed all 4 HDD, E07 = Power LED blink red 7 times.

NAS Navigator cannot detect the LS.

I formatted the HDD on the Windows machine. I wanted to wipe clean the HDD (zero fill)

Then, found out the the firmware was also on the HDD.

Duh.

How to put the LS into EM mode?

In FAQ 3, there is no TFTP boot recovery file for LS-QVL/R5.

May I know where to download the TFTP boot recovery file?

Or when will it be released?

Here is a link to the 4th page of TFTP. http://forums.buffalotech.com/index.php?topic=10185.45. Another person on the forum already made a post about how to fix kirkwood unit with TFTP. This worked for me so i share with ya.
