Disk Life
« on: April 13, 2017, 01:25:50 PM »
What is a good expectation of disk life? The disks in my 9 year-old LinkStation Pro Duo just died after regular and consistent use as network storage. I think that's reasonable, but is there a general expectation for Buffalo Drive disks in terms of hours/data/days?

Buffalo use different makes and models of disks from different manufacturer's.

I'd say 9 years would be well beyond the expected life time of a disk.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

I understand that. I just wonder if Buffalo has a standard for the drives they select. i.e. an average 1M hours before lost blocks
