The network is busy. Please try again later
« on: January 07, 2012, 03:31:53 AM »

Hi all. We have a brand new Linkstation WS . personal loans online It's a small network, only 3 computers running Windows 7. At random times when opening an excel or word document, they will get the message "the network is busy. Please try again later". They hit ok, then open the document and it opens fine. The device is running the latest firmware version 1.41. This problem happens quite often.

Can anyone please help me troubleshoot this? What can I do to fix this problem?

Not a helpful response - but I have exactly the same problem:

- Linkstation WS

- a small (3 computer) network all with Windows 7 and Office 2010

- At random (but frequent) times opening office files we get the same error message "network busy"

I've been doing a lot of searching around and I can't find any particularly good solutions.  I notice other users have also posted this question:

I'll keep searching and see if I come up with anything, but it appears it might be a network issue rather than a Buffalo issue... :smileyfrustrated:

Having the same issue.  Only on one computer, everyone else is working fine.  Win 7 office 2010.  When opening word docs it will say "network busy, try again later" sometimes requiring 3-4 retrys before finally working.

I doubt it is an issue with the LS\TS judging by this post:

It's probably an issue with network integrity.
