0k raid showing after a rebuild following a new disk
« on: July 17, 2012, 10:35:31 AM »

Hi

We swapped a failed disk in a TS-RIXL Terastation iSCSI NAS box. We clicked rebuild as we have done before and waited a bit. Instead of seeing the raid rebuild we saw it replaced with an entry showing that the raid has an Error and that the raid size is now 0k.

There were no errors shown during the process and clicking in to the raid array doesn't show us what the error is.

Is there a way to recover the raid at all? We still have the previous failed disk if that helps.

Is there someway we can find out more about what happened?

I know that when similar things have happened on our Thecus boxes the Thecus support chaps have been able to re-create the array and send us a new config file which can be used by the NAS to create the raid array.

Help.

Olly
