: HD-PEU2 : No disk drive icon appear in My Computer

Hi, My HD-PEU2 usb ext hd does not appear in My Computer like other usb devices. Windows XP (SP3) loads it properly and the device status in device manager properties says "This device is working properly." When I view the Disk Management (in Computer Management), it says the drive is : Disk 1 Unknown 149.05GB "Not Initialized" (149.05 GB Unallocated) What should I do? I have data in the ext hd previously and now it can't be read. Thanks.

Right click on the black bar and choose "initialize disk" If it asks to format it then you will have to format it and you will lose all your data. But if it does not ask to format it then you should be fine.
