: Linkstation Live LS CH 500 disk size

I have had a lot of troubles with my Linkstation which resulted that I updated the firmware and erased the disk. That took a very long time. After that I wanted to format the disk. Again it took like three days. After that it started to check the disk. Now it has been checking four days....

Is this normal? Don't think so. Today, while still verifying, it let me in and access to shares. I removed the old ones (I tought format would have removed those??) and created a new share.

Everything looked fine at last. Then I mapped a drive letter to the share and started to copy files in it. Suddenly the disk became full after 4,7G files vere moved. What is this now again? I have not made any size to any share, can it even be done? The disk status in web admin says that the total capacity is 465.76 GB.

Where does this limit come? How can I change it?
P.S. it is still checking the disk, I21!! And the system status says that file format is not available. This is quite hopeless, and the worst thing is that no what so ever manual tells about these issues.

This is not normal at all, force the firmware again on the unit.  (search the forum for force firmware, its the first link).  Then in the web interface set the unit back to factory defaults under maintenance.

Just forcing the same firmware version did not help, but the solution was to choose option to write partition table. Now it works OK.
