: Unbricking LS420D in emergency mode
: muhaki August 19, 2019, 06:43:55 AM
Hi guys,

I've tried to fix my Buffalo LS420D without success.
It was flashing with orange (i think), 2 long and 5 short blinks.

Then i tried to find a solution, but none of them worked. Including the "Debug" Mode.

The Buffalo Linkstation Updater says "Format failed. Update aborted"

Any idea how i can fix this and use my buffalo?

Are you still trying to recover data from the device?

No i am only trying to make it work. No data is important.

I’ve got a short guide posted for recovering:

Thanks for input, but without any luck.
It does start the formation, but after a while, it just returns to the orange error code: 25 and does not continue from there. :/

it helps to start with blank disks if you didn't already. You should probably checkout code 25 and make sure it isn't related to failing disks or something like that.

If you post more detail about what steps you tried we might be able to help figure out what went wrong.
