Hi,
there is any procedure how to install a new copy of windows storage server 2008 R2 on WS-QV8.0TL/R5?
-
It would have originally shipped with reinstall media. If you no longer have it you should be able to get media from tech support.

If that doesn't work out you can always install Linux on it (Windows Server 2008 R2 is EOL after all). I've been running Debian Stretch on mine for about a year with pretty good results.
I've started working on writing up some details on how to do it but it's really just the normal debian install processes. The only custom piece is a script I put together which enables any empty drive bays for hot swapping (bios only enables the bays that have drives at boot).
Let me know if that would be of interest to you.

hi,
thanks a lot for your answer. It is great to have something, not to feel that you are alone. 1000001101000 - yes tell me everything that you do it. For me, that I am based on Microsoft tools and OS, every information in plus will be like gold.
BR,

Admittedly, if you don't have any linux experience there will be a bit of a learning curve.
The Debian Installer can be found here:
https://www.debian.org/releases/stretch/debian-installer/
Information about putting it on a usb device are here:
