Buffalo NAS Navigator 2 (ver 2.92) used to start successfully in all versions of macOS Sierra in my MacBook Pro. Once NAS Navigator was running it also successfully launched my LINKSTATION in my home LAN. LINKSTATION then became visible in Finder's Shared column. All this is totally correct.
After I have upgraded to macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 NAS Navigator 2 fails to start my LINKSTATION.
Only way to get NAS Navigator 2 in my MacBook Pro to behave similarly as it used to behave with previous macOS Sierra, is to start another PC into my home LAN. This another PC (Windows 7 in this case) also has NAS Navigator 2 installed and it will eventually wake up my LINKSTATION which will be visible also in MacBook's Finder.

Have you updated to the latest version of NAS Navigator?

Yes, NAS Navigator 2 version 2.92 is the latest one. http://buffalo.jp/support_ap/support/products/ls_wvl.html

Problem solved. Installation of macOS High Sierra had switched off NAS Navigator's Auto Power Mode.
