I have recently purchased 4 TB external hard disk HD-LC4.0U3.
My OS is windows 10
Motherboard Gigabyte Z170-HD3
When I connect the device via USB 3 it does not get detected
When connect via USB 2 it works
Can you please offer some advice how to fix this?
-
Are other devices detected when connected to the USB 3 port?
-
Yes
I even have a buffalo 3TB external hdd. It works fine with this port.
-
That's odd. I don't suppose you have a different system to try to connect it to?
-
I did connect to office computer.
But I am not sure whether I connect using USB 2 or 3
What can I do to figure out what is happening?
-
Can you give me any suggestions to get this fixed?
-
I assume you have tested it with a second USB 3 cable? if so and then issue is the same on multiple PCs then RMA the unit.
-
I would agree. If the unit won't connect via USB 3 on multiple computers, RMA the device.
