Hello,
I'm living in Japan, and bought the above mentioned router, but unfortunately I can't read Japanese ...
I was wondering if I could just flash another firmware (WZR-1166DHP which is the European version) on it that has english menu or if there's any add-on program existing in order to have English web UI??
I don't care so much about warranty, as anyway I have no choice to go with this router.
User manual I can download/use the one of WZR-1166DHP (European version), that seems to be OK (the same), but web UI is a big problem ...
Thanks a lot!

Sven,
I have the same issue. Also living in Japan. Just bought a Buffalo WSR-1166DHP.
By connecting my PC to a WSR LAN port & the WSR Interent pot to LAN port of my main router, I managed to get Google Translate to translate the routers Web Admin pages from Japanese to English in real-time. This gave some information to help with setup.
Using this, I also successfully updated the firmware to V1.10.
Currently investigating updating to OpenWRT, which does support the WSR-1166DHP, but not been successful with that so far.
Have you had any further success?

But there is a new Openwrt version!
