: bootable Buffalo stalls at startup after Yosemite upgrade
: richard moore June 10, 2015, 06:25:26 PM
Both my Buffalo MiniStation Thunderbolt HD-PA1` drive stall a few minutes into dstsrtup when set to open in boot mode after updating my MacBookPro to Yosemite 10.10.3 and then updating the two drives with the new data. Both drives are encrypted. Mac tech support is stumped. The BU app is Synchronize! Pro X and their tech support thinks the problem is that the Buffalo drives need a firmware update which I don't see on the Buffalo site. During Mac troubleshooting, during one startup attempt from the Buffalo, we could see tht the last line of code where the full stall occurs reads: "hfs: unmount initiated on boot OS on device 2s3." The code line above this reads: "hfs: mount initiated on boot OS on device 2s3."
Any advice on how I can work this out would be greatly appreciated.
