: WEB ACCESS FAILS - LS421DE
: GPSIS_HQ February 25, 2015, 02:48:18 PM
I have tried and tried and tried and I cannot get the web access feature to connect.

I typically get an error stating that I need to enable UPnP or disable my firewall during the setup...neither of those options correct the issue.

I have screenshots and a video capture but cannot figure how to attaché them to this post.

Regards!

What specific error, if any, are you getting?

What do you mean by "cannot get the web access feature to connect"?

Who is your ISP? What external TCP port are you attempting to use? Are you certain that the port you are trying to use isn't blocked by your ISP?

Specific errors are why I took screenshots...anyway to upload those to eliminate the human error?

"could not connect" means the process of web access did not work...for what ever reason the "connection" could not be established...again specifics are in the screenshots so as to eliminate these back and forth post.

ISP is AT&T U-Verse, I opted for the default port of 9000, no I am not certain the port is blocked which is why I am here looking for help.

Port 9000 is the default internal port. Odds are that it is blocked externally. Go to http://www.canyouseeme.org/ (http://www.canyouseeme.org/) to find out if that port is open externally.

Did you configure port forwarding on the Uverse gateway? Here's an explanation on how to do that: http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB413180&cv=812 (http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB413180&cv=812)

Try external port 41185, I've seen that work with AT&T in the past.
