Include SFTP ability on the Linkstation Mini LS-WSGL/R1 on the next firmware release. According to the website the device has "NAS Technology" and if you click on the link it will take you to the explanation of it which does include SFTP as a included item, so this is something I'd expect to see. It would also be nice to be able to enable SFTP access but also disable FTP for security purposes.
