: Unable to use the built in bittorrent client.

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a Linkstation Live 2TB NAS. I've configured the disk, and have it working on a fixed IP address of 10.0.0.220. I can login fine, and the shares seem to be working. I am now trying to enable the built in BitTorrent client. To do this, I log in to the web interface and select BitTorrent from the Extensions tab. I've set:

BitTorrent = Enabled

Download Folder = TorrentData --- This is a share I set up on the device.

Now, when I click on "Open Download Manager" I get the following informaiton on a dialog box:

The server 10.0.0.220 at uTorrentEmbedded requires a username and password.

I have the option to put in a username and a password. I tried the default admin account, and it does not work. I have created a local user on the device and tried using that, but this does not work either. Finally, I tried creating a user account on the uTorrent website, and tried the credentials for this account, but that won't work either. I am not sure of how to proceed from here. Has anyone faced a similar problem? How to proceed with this? Please advise.

Thanks, Nandan

just to add.. when i click on the Open Download Manager button, the URL on the IE window that opens up is:

http://10.0.0.220:9090/gui

I've tried to do some port forwarding, so packets for port 9090 are redirected to my NAS device, but that doesn't seem to work.
