: Liebert UPS (PSA series) with Linkstation Duo LS-WXL/R1 ??

Hi,

 

I was wondering if anyone has tried using Liebert UPS (specifically PSA500MT3 or PSA650MT3) to connect to the Linkstation Duo LS-WXL/R1 via the USB cable for auto-shutdown in case of power outage?

 

BTW, will sudden power outage (without UPS) damage the hard drives or the Linkstation unit itself?

 

Any info is much appreciated.

 For the record, the Liebert UPS does not work with any Liebert PSA unit. Tried it myself using the USB connection and the NAS doesn't recognize the UPS.
