: Need one computer on the network to not have access to the TeraStation
: aceinc January 06, 2010, 01:21:37 PM

I have searched to the best of my ability through old posts and could not find what I think I'm looking for. I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject so any help and leniency would be appreciated.

I work for a small company and we use a TeraStation Pro™ II iSCSI - TS-IGL/R5 (I'm sorry, I don't know the firmware revision). There used to be two computers on our network and we both had access to the drive, and that was fine. We now have another tenant in our executive suite and we do not want him to have access to it. Is there any way to password protect the drive? Ideally we (the two WITH access) would continue to be able to access it without having to log in ever.

I am relatively clueless about the TeraStation as I am not the one that handles these things, so any further explanation would also be appreciated. Thanks.

login to the gui using the ip address of the device in a web browser, username- admin password- password .  Go and create a few users and give them rights to that folder specific share folder under access restrictions under folder setup.  Then remap and put in crediantals.  mapping is \\ip in run or search box.  ex \\192.168.11.105

Thank you very much for the instruction. Could you possibly go into a bit more detail on creating users, groups, etc?
