I have a USB drive plugged into my linkstation live LS-CHL, which I am using to host media for my WDTV Live media streamer.
When I connected the USB drive, I encountered the same usbdrive1 recursive folder problem described in these threads:
I wasnt overly concerned about this until I started getting a problem with the media server, which I think is due to this issue. Whats happening is that media files stored on the USB drive get cataloged over and over again as the media server searches through the drive for files. When I try and view my media via the WDTV live, any files stored on the USB drive appear duplicated up to 15 times each, which is very irritating.
I bought the linkstation live specifically as it had a media server included, so I am disappointed to encounter a glitch serious enough to make it unusable.
Is there a way of either removing the usbdisk1 recursive folder or stopping the media server from repeatedly catelogging files from it?
To help us trouble shoot this issue it would help out alot of you can please stated the Model Number and Fimrware Version you have.
I'm using fw1.07 on my LS-CHL linkstation live 1TB.
I think I resolved this issue now though - I reread these threads and tried deleting the usbdisk1 folder via the webaccess interface. This got rid of the recursive folder. Yay!
