Hi all,
I read several articles and solutions 2 fix my drive but they don't work.
Whats the problem:
When i turn on my HS-DH320GL the error led blinks 6 times ( so it can't recognize the disk.. )
I fully resetted it by pressing the reset button for 20 seconds.
What did i do:
Well i did several things to (tryy) fixing the drive, first i carefully read the forum posts about installing en updating the firmware.
I also opened the case , got the drive out and formatted in windows 2 ntfs.. then i put it back into the case.
After i re-assembled the LS, i connected an cross cable and gave the networkcontroller the ip range mentioned on this forum ( 192.168.11.1 because the ip should be 192.168.11.150)
Then i started the nas navigator and it still can't find the LS, I used tftp, didn't work at all, and the forced updates can't find the disk 2.... so could one of you guys help me out? What do i need 2 do?
Do i need to format de disk into another format?(FAT32, XFS?)..
Thanks in advance!
The device is made to be in xfs, not ntfs. That will not work with our firmware.

Thanks, i didn't know it for sure. Im first gonna format it 2 xfs type. Does anyone know with which program i can manage it within windows?
Ok , I formatted it with the Gparted LIVE CD , formatted the disk as a XFS disk.
But when I rebooted the LS ( after assembling it again with the hdd) it still gives me the 6 time-blinking red LED.... What is the next step ??

OK i'll try tftp first thanks for the pointer!
SOLVED :-D I tried the debug mode where i activated the format option! It now works and can be found my the NAS NAvigator!
But is it normal that the disk is getting very warm ? :-P
Thanks for the pointers!
