: Slow lookup of LinkStation Pro Duo

I have a Linkstation Pro Duo 2TB NAS unit connected to my home network.  The network is routed through a D-Link 825 Gigabit wireless router.  The drive and my main PC are all wired (not wireless).

 

The problem I'm having is that if I connect to the drive via the name, it takes 10-20 seconds to resolve.  If I connect via IP, it's immediate.  So it looks like there is some type of DNS problem.

 

Any ideas as to where I should look?  I don't think it's a drive setting, but I'm not sure if it's a WindowsXP setting or a router setting.

 

Any help is appreciated.

Netbios name look up tends to take a while.  I would just set a static IP and access via IP.
