Hello
I have a Buffalo external hard drive that I use on two diff computers. One is a vista home basic 32bit os and the other is vista 64bit os.
The model is a HD-HC250U2. My 64bit os will see it when it's plugged into a usb hub and turned on, (prompting me to open to view files).
As of last week, the 32bit os had no problems at all. Now for a reason unknown, when I plug in to the same usb port that I've always used, the 32bit os doesn't see it. I've tryed using diff usb ports to no advail.
As far as I can tell (using device manager) all of my usb ports are ok.
If anyone has any thoughts about this, please let me know.
Thank you
Regards
Ernest
Hi
Yes, the 64bit os sees it. The problem was solved. I did a reset to default on the computer having the problem and now the hard drive is seen and can be accessed.
Why after so long did the problem occure is beyond me.
Anyway, thank you for taking the time to reply.
Warmest Regards
Ernest
