: Linkstation Pro Duo Media Server and Linksys KiSS-1600
: Rewstah March 07, 2009, 02:11:27 PM

Hello all,

I have just set up my new Linkstation Pro Duo yesterday (2-USB-ports version, firmware 3.07, which I updated to 3.09). However today I spent nearly all day trying to figure out one issue: I also own a Linksys Kiss-1600 media streamer that's connected to my TV, and under no circumstance does it see the NAS.

To be a bit more specific, Both the NAS and the Streamer are connected to a router, along with two other vista-operated laptops. I should also mention that NAS-Laptop and Laptop-KiSS-1600 Streamer communication are both fully functional.

The Streamer and The NAS are both uPnP/DLNA certified, yet the KiSS-1600 Streamer can't seem to recognize the Linkstation AT ALL...

To sum it up, I'm hitting a wall, here. So if anyone can show me the way, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I've searched the Linksys and DLNA.org website, and I can't find any mention of the kiss-1600 as DLNA compliant.

Thank you for you answer.

I have finally managed to make the Linkstation accessible to my KiSS-1600 with a 3.09 firmware update that affected the media server. Anyways, it's all working now. And by the way, KiSS-1600 is a media streamer. It would be sad if it wasn't DLNA-certified :smileyhappy:
