I want to format my drive so Mac OSX will see it as 1 4TB drive. Currently (Connected via USB) it shows up as 1 2TB drive and 1 1.6TB drive.
I had this drive connected to a Windows machine and had it formatted to NTFS prior. The 2 drives are a result of the 2TB drive limit of XP.
Can this be done with OSX?
Thanks in advance.
You can get the Mac RAID Utility by downloading it from the "Support" then "Downloads" section of this site and then select "DriveStation Quattro"
Then you should be able to setup the RAID configuration that you wish.
Thanks Kevin. I made the mistake of choosing Turbo USB in the downloads section and didn't see any application downloads...I'll try this one though.
Thanks!
Downloaded and ran the utility for the DriveStation Quattro you recommended but I get the same error I had gotten before.
"Couldn't find HD-QSU2/5 series."
OS X 10.5.6
Connected via USB
Tried with Drive formatted to FAT32, NTFS and Mac OS Extended Journaled.
Other than the raid utility the drive connects, mounts and operates fine on a Mac.
Please help.
