: Web Access Menu Not Visible On Linkstation Pro LS-500GL

   I just purchased this unit and despite spending a lot of time with the manual and the setup I can't seem to find the Web Access menu. The firmware version is noted as 1.14. I checked the firmware update and the latest version listed is 1.1. Any idea what the issue is

LS-500GL = Linkstaiton Pro, there is no web access feature with this unit. It is only available on linkstation Pro Duo, Live, Mini, Quad.

 

However, web access is justed a dolled up version of ftp so you can use this instead if you want to access your files from outside your LAN.

Thanks, I got in touch with Tech Suppport last night and they told me the same thing. FTP is not that secure thus the Web Access probably would not have done it for me. I guess the best solution is a VPN.
