Hi,

I've searching forums and every piece of the Net to get an answer, but...

My new LinkTheater can't play corectly my Xvid, videos. The seems to play in a slow-mode. This doesn't happen with any other kind of files.

my Linktheater is bought in Europe, where it's supposed to read this type of format. BUT it doesn't. Is there an upgrade for the firmware, or so, to correct this? Because, of course, I am not going to transcode every film (spending, time, loosing quality, etc.) when it must be really simple to correct it from Buffalo staff...

I also hace the problem with audio in some files (5.1, etc.) but in that case I accept that LT has no support for that. But my videos!!

thank you

Hi, I had this problem, in the UK in my case it seems to depend on whether the xvid file is 'packed' or not.    Download a copy of MPEG4modifier (google it) which allows you to quickly change between packed and unpacked without re-encoding.   It worked for about 90% of my xvids.   It's free and also allows you to change aspect ratio etc. without re-encoding hence quickly.

thank you very much, I am now happy (note that there was a time in which I thought my purchase was a f... sh...).

thank you again
