: Help me stream movies from my link station HS-DHGL
: dodgycharater December 07, 2008, 09:50:05 AM
I have purchased a buffalo link theater and are having troubles playing my movies from another room. The Theater connects to the link station wireless Ok and finds the relevant movies but thats it, it wont play. What am i doing wrong or is there a different setting i need for the Link station? :smileymad:

Depending on the linkstation and the firmware you will have to set up pcast or the DNLA server function.  Also make sure the firmwares on both units are up to date.

Yes the DNLA server is enabled and firmware are up to date.

Model of Link Station Live is HS-DH320GL

Please anyone help - got three of these units in different rooms and none will play my AVI files.

I'm not big on Wireless to stream Video Files.  I have been streaming DVD quality Video Files for more than 5 years with my Link Theater over Ethernet.  I have a Server in the Garage and a Computer in my office, with movies on both and can stream with no problem.  So try it with Cat5 Ethernet and I'm sure it will work fine.
