Has anyone sucessfully solved the issues with internet routing dropping randomly via WDS setup.
Currently, I have three routers WHR-HP-300N setup via WDS
firmware : DD-WRT v24SP2-EU-US (08/19/10) std - build 14998
Setup :
router 1 AP connected to internet modem:
physical internace:
Wireless mode: WDS AP
network mode: Mixed
Channel width : Full
Channel : 5
SSID : example
Security :WPA2 personal
Algorith: AES
WDS settings: mac address of router 2
router 2
physical interface:
WDS station
mixed
Full
SSID : example
WPA2 personal
AES
virtual interface:
WDS AP
SSID: example 1
WPA2 personal
AES
WDS setting: mac address of router 1 and router 3
router 3:
physical interface:
WDS station
mixed
Full
SSID : example 1
WPA2 personal
AES
virtual interface:
AP
SSID: example 2
WPA2 personal
AES
WDS setting: mac address router 3
Basically i'm daisy chaining router 2 to 1 and router 3 to 2. Problem i'm having is that internet keeps dying from router 2 and 3, reboots will clear up the issue but obviously that sucks. I already tried changing to multiple channels with the same issue, (3,9,10, now on 5). Anyone have a solution to my woes?
Also, I cannot find where the logs are via the web interface..
Thanks
Update talked to buffalo support " no fix is available except the power cycle , or going to user friendly which does not support master to master WDS. Its being elevated to lvl 2 support. Hopefully they will come back with a better answer regarding a fix to this problem case #1497565"
Not sure what else i can do atm except deal with the crappy problem, might need to get a refund for false advertising.
