I got this router today and just set it up. Currently wireless works on the other computers, but I can't get into setup. I followed the cd and did every step up to the enter router username and password. I created the router username and password and continued. Now I'm in the setup page in the browser. I click setup at the top bar and enter the username and password I created in the box that says: A username and password are being requested by http://192.168.11.1. The site says: "DD-WRT"
but it doesn't do anything, the box just pops back up. I click cancel and this shows up:
401 Unauthorized
Authorization required. please note that the default username is "root" in all newer releases
Am I entering the wrong user/pass or am I missing something?
try root/admin
Failing this reset the router and setup your own username/password.
he said he just got that router and created a username and password but it wasnt accepting it. im curious if resetting and doing that all over again worked for him.as i am having a similar problem
